The Regionales Berufsbildungszentrum am Schützenpark (RBZ am Schützenpark) /Regional Vocational Education and Training Center for professions in health & social care, commercial nutrition and construction, is the largest school of Schleswig-Holstein. We train more than 4000 pupils in 15 full time courses and 25 professions.
As one of four Regional Vocational Education and Training Centers in Kiel city, we offer multifaceted learning opportunities in a wide variety of vocational fields. We guarantee our
pupils a demanding and future-oriented training. Furthermore, we offer differentiated possibilities in our full-time courses in order to get a general education graduation.
The numeral focus of the RBZ am Schützenpark with approximately 2500 pupils is the dual training. The RBZ am Schützenpark sympathises particularly with the European idea. Our general pedagogical goal, which puts the European idea into practice in our daily school life, is to encourage cosmopolitanism, tolerance and peace skills. Referring to our content and concept of work it is very important to us that young people get the best possible preparation for a dynamic and increasingly European labour market. Due to the immediate proximity to the European neighbouring countries we actively and sustainably try to sensitise young people for the special chances and challenges of an inter- and multinational field of activities. In order to guarantee our pupils an optimal training, our school is once more obligated to work internationally.
The RBZ am Schützenpark is comfortably equipped with its three completely renovated or newly built buildings in terms of basic digital structures. We have comprehensive WiFi in almost all areas of the school. The classrooms are equipped with different projection screens, smartboard systems and, for the most part, computers on the teacher’s desk. We have specialist rooms for computer-lessons and digital applications. Digitalisation is based on concepts, systems and structures that support and enable learning with digital media. With the present media concept, we support existing systems and structures in our school and present curricular teaching approaches that have already been implemented or are planned. At the RBZ am Schützenpark, the topic of “learning in a digitised world” will be defined as a strategic development focus for the school.
